SIBYLLE MARQUARDT, Flute

German-Canadian flutist Sibylle Marquardt began her orchestral career at the early age of 23 with some of Germany’s top orchestras in Munich and Berlin.

Sibylle is now an active chamber musician: she is a member of Trio D’Argento with Paul Pulford, cello and Todd Yaniw, piano, which is performing across Canada and has recorded the CD “Piano Centric” with members of the Canadian Brass. Since moving to the East Coast her chamber music activity expanded with Argento Collective, which includes various ensembles. With Duo Resonance she recorded the CD “From The New Village”, featuring 20th century music.

Since 2018 Sibylle is teaching at the Maritime Conservatory of Performing Arts Halifax and became its Dean of Music in 2020. She has been part of the faculty of the Royal Conservatory of Music Toronto for 20 years, is a member of the College of Examiners and a sought after adjudicator at music festivals. www.silverflute.ca

Victor Hugo Morales is a professional Venezuelan musician with a training in classical piano. He has a lot of experience in classical, latin, jazz and retro pop (50s to 80s). He has participated in many productions, cd recordings and travelled to several countries performing piano recitals in Germany, Austria, Uruguay, Colombia and Canada. He won 1st prize in the XI piano composition contest “Fidelio 2020” where 150 composers from different countries participated. His piano teacher, Adele Marcus taught at the Juilliard School of Music in New York.
